B.Braun and Borns join forces to create a new ecosystem of robotic surgery!

Recently, B. Braun Medical and Borns Medical Robotics announced a major strategic partnership to break through the development barriers of the robotic surgery market and jointly promote the standardized application of robotic surgery. Under the terms of the new agreement, the two companies will advance robotic surgery with standardized surgical consumables, surgical training, marketing and international product strategy.

B. Braun, a leading manufacturer of medical devices, and Borns, a leader in the development of robotic surgical technology, began collaborating in 2018.With the integration of minimally invasive surgical devices and advanced medical imaging technology, several major breakthroughs have been achieved. The two sides are committed to developing a new surgical platform comprised of a standardized, automated and intelligent robotic surgery system. At the same time establishing the pathway for system training, system certification and application demonstration, thereby creating a new concept of minimally invasive surgery in the exploration of design, manufacturing, and international clinical practice.

Standardized Robotic Surgery
The Borns Surgical Robotic System series robotic system, fully equipped with B.Braun(Aesculap) surgical instruments and the Einstein 3D laparoscopic system, has implemented next generation functionality in endoscopic surgery. The Borns Surgical Robotic System has successfully participated in a number of clinical trials in Max Healthcare Hospital, India. The B.Braun and Borns alliance will further promote the standardization of robotic surgery, thus changing the global surgical landscape benefitting patients world-wide.

Systemized Surgical Training
Committed to global multicenter clinical research, Borns has carried out a series of international robotic surgery training programs. Successful training continues in the United States, Australia, Germany, the Netherlands, Israel, Britain, France, Italy, the United Arab Emirates and other countries and regions. For the upcoming clinical research in Germany and China, Mr Chen, dean of the academy of snake said the two sides will conduct standardized training and practice courses, and comprehensive use of the Borns surgery in (ERAS) and (Daily Surgery) ultimately displaying the advantages of standardized robot surgery.
